So there a couple catagories of art displayed here.
The polaroid project was a project inspired by the work of Heineken. Heineken would take polaroids of magazine and write text to justify the pictures. My take on this project was to mimic the look of polaroids (done by taking 35mm photos of a polaroid frame laid over a magazine picture) and use text to explain the series of photographs.
The photogallery has work from two different photography stints. Most of the color work (still life in particlar) is from a few years ago. The flowers and produce appeal to me because of their crispness [with the exception of plant by the window which seems to capture ideas about light.] I particularly like the similar shapes of the cantelope and the man's stomach in the man holding fruit picture.
The black and white work and the hands and feet picture, are more recent, and were done with the intent of creating a portrait of a person with out capturing the face. I am particualrly proud of the black and white work--I think it somehow captures (for me at least) photography as art.
The digital work shows some experimentation with black and white images in photoshop. While I'm certainly not an expert, I think I've had some initial successes.
On photography: I remember describing on several occasions, my goals in photography: I want to share my prespective, my point of veiw. To in some small way show you what I see and what I respond to.
Art not highlighted here include a brief period with pottery (pictures perhaps to come), and other photography work.
