Erin and Mandy go to France!
Mandy and Erin missed Margaret and decided to go to France to find her. Unfortunately (literally), they don’t have a lot of money. So they went to “el cheapo travelo agencyo” and asked for a discount trip to France. Mandy pointed out to Erin that if the agency couldn’t even get the Spanish right then they probably couldn’t be trusted to plan a trip to Europe. Erin insisted that this was all she could afford, so they booked the trip anyway. Despite a full week of seeing French things, they didn’t manage to find Margaret. After they returned from their trip, they put together a scrap book of the things they saw and sent it to her so she could appreciate they effort they went to in trying to find her and to experience “all things that are French”
Day 1. Mandy and Erin arrive in France and are very hungry. Their itinerary points them to some French cuisine: French Fries. Yum! They rented a car to see the country. Note that if in France they drive on the other side of the road, Erin is driving, otherwise Mandy is driving.
The French fries failed to fill Erin and Mandy’s tummies, so they looked for some more French food. They saw this sign, and since it was in English, they knew the food would be authentic!
Once inside Erin finds some croissants and starts craving some good ‘ole pigs in a blanket. Unfortunately hot dogs aren’t French.
Mandy points out that they don’t have any money anyway. She has a brilliant idea though! She will sell French Rolls on the street
Despite Mandy’s efforts, they still don’t have enough money to go to the top of the Eiffel tower. They think the "el Cheapo" travel agency may have given them wrong directions as the Eiffel tower seems to be able to fit in Erin's hand.
After a day of sight seeing, Erin and Mandy hop on some bikes and compete in the tour de France. They did pretty good, but they got really thirsty.
After the race, they decided to get some quick sugar and carbs by eating a large serving of French Toast. What a day!
