So the goal turned out to be the answer. I set out to find a pattern and what I found was that I consistantly responded to patterns in movies (amoung other places). I noticed in particular this was true in the reviews of Amélie, The Man Who Wasn't There, and Run, Lola, Run. I mentioned that I had a history of appriciation for the repetition in sequences of arrows, as I decorated my office this past summer with arrows. I find repetition to be particualarly visually stimulating. (11.17.01)
I've noticed in recent entries an interest in time and dealing with the passage of time. (This corresponds with my interest in clocks.) I think that time is so skewed in movies that an opportiuity to make a statement about it is presented. Some movies take advantage of this and I like it when they do. (1.27.02)
